International workshop on the first year of the implementation of the joint project REKKS / SRC PEB of the KSPU (Germany, Russia, Kazakhstan)

An international seminar on the interim results of the collaborative project of Science Research Centre of Problems of ecology and biology KSPU / REKKS (Germany, Russia, Kazakhstan): «Innovations in the development of methods of sustainable agricultural management in the changing climate in the dry steppes of Kazakhstan and South-West Siberia (ReKKS)», subproject SRC PEB KSPU / ReKKS «Assessment of the impact of land use and climate change on soil invertebrate communities (mesofauna)» was held May 14, 2019 in Kostanay State Pedagogical University.
The seminar was attended by Eva Smetanova, Vice-Rector of KSPU, Director of the Institute of Soil Science, University of Leibniz (Hannover, Germany), President of the German Society for Soil Scientists, Professor Dr. George Guggenberger, PhD, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Vice-Rector for Research and Strategic Development Medetov Nurlan Amirovich, coordinator of the project ReKKS Shibistova Olga Borisovna (Institute of Soil Science of the University of Leibniz, Hannover, Germany), project leader from the KSPU professor, doctor of biological sciences Bragina Tatyana Mikhaylovna, Dean of the EMF Shumeiko Tatyana Stepanovna, Head of the Department of Natural Sciences Baubekova Gaukhar Konyspayevna, members of the KSPU project team - Professor Bragin Yevgeny Alexandrovich, Master of Biology, Senior Lecturer, Head of the Research Center for Science Management and International Relations of the KSPU Bobrenko Marina Aleksandrovna, Master of Biology, Senior Lecturer Rulyova Maria Mikhailovna and students of 2-3 courses of the specialty "Biology", included in the working group of the project. The working language of the seminar is English.
A welcoming speech from the leadership of the KSPU was made by the vice-rector of the KSPU Svetanova Eva and the German partner Georg Guggenberger.
Prof. Dr. George Guggenberger and project coordinator O. B. Shibistova spoke at the seminar on the ReKKS project. Last May, at the first seminar, scientific and applied aspects of the project, in which two universities of the Russian Federation, three organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan and 7 universities of Germany participate, were voiced. This year the partners presented the results of soil research conducted in the regions of Kazakhstan.
The second session was devoted to the discussion of the results of the project SRC of ecology and biology problems of the KSPU / ReKKS «Assessment of the impact of land use and climate change on the soil invertebrate communities (mesofauna)». A presentation was made by the project manager - Professor, Dr. Tatyana Mikhailovna Bragina, Director of the Scientific Research Center on the ecology and biology problems of KSPU. At the end of the seminar there was a discussion on the issues of interest, as well as the details of the upcoming expeditions in the Kostanay region in May-July.
