International Festival "Astana - аlem Dausy"

From 5 to 12 October 2018, the choir of students of the OP “Music Education” of the KSPU under the direction of Ph.D. Zhakayeva S.A. took part in the International festival of choral groups “Astana - Alem Dausy” in Astana. The festival was held in the framework of the VI Congress of World and Traditional Religions.
The student choir of the university received an invitation to participate in the concert program of this festival in September 2018. The concert program consisted of works by Kazakh and foreign classics. During the month, students learned musical material, prepared for performance in a large consolidated choir. Upon arrival in Astana, our children joined in the work of a grandiose musical project. In the process of the festival, joint rehearsals with orchestra and soloists, master classes from leading foreign musicians, and the most important for each musician - creative communication and acquaintance with the musical art and culture of other nations. The festival was attended by musicians from Australia, Japan, USA, Hungary, Israel, South Korea, Georgia, Italy, Indonesia, Belarus, Canada, India, Ireland, Russia (Soha), Bulgaria, Portugal, etc.
The end of this large-scale musical event was the Gala concert at the Palace of Peace and Accord. In the concert hall, a combined choir of 500 people from the world's best teams from 5 continents and 25 countries, accompanied by a symphony orchestra, performed masterpieces of classical choral music.
The invitation to the festival was honorable for our choir. At the same time, the trip provided students with a powerful incentive for professional development, the study and performance of various musical styles and genres, and a rare occasion to become participants in this grandiose international-scale musical project.
