Kobyz - one of the oldest Kazakh folk instruments

On March 19, 2019, in the framework of the celebration of the biennium of the “Ruhani Zhakiru” program, 1st year students of the educational program “Musical education” Aktas Tomiris and Kuanyshbek Balausa participated in the “Talent time” program of the Kazakhstan-Kostanai TV company. Students learn to play kobyz. It belongs to the most ancient type of stringed instruments, which are preserved among the peoples of Siberia, Central Asia, the Volga region, Transcaucasia and others. Every nation has such a stringed name, but they are similar in structure, hair strings, tuning, ways of playing.

Upon admission to the educational program "Music Education", the students themselves chose the main musical instrument. Kobyz interested them with his wonderful singing sound and legendary history. As part of the program, Tomiris and Balausa talked about the ancient Kazakh folk instrument and performed several works.
