Winter Universiade continues - and again the prize place

The second competitive view of the VIII Winter Universiade was curling. Competitions were held in Almaty at the Almaty Arena stadium. Team of Kostanay State Pedagogical University named after U. Sultangazina presented a team of boys and a team of girls for this type.
Girls team:
- Shatrova Anastasia - 3rd year student - “Physical Culture and Sports”
- Sarsekeeva Zarina - 1st year student of the specialty "Physical Culture and Sports";
- Suleimen Kimbat - 1st year student of the specialty "Physical Culture and Sports"
- Balapanova Diana - 1st year student of the specialty "Physical Culture and Sports"
Youth team:
- Svyatokum Stanislav - 2nd year student - “Physical Culture and Sport”
- Қожахмет Әділет - 2nd year student - “Physical Culture and Sports”
- Dzhan Ruslan - 1st year student - “Physical Culture and Sports”
- Zhanibekov Rustam - 2nd year student - “Physical Culture and Sports”
Curling competitions were attended by students of the track and field specialization who did not own this sport professionally.
Despite the fact that this sport was mastered in preparation for the Universiade, students achieved significant results. The men's team, having fallen into a strong group (met with the teams of KazASiT-Academy of Sports and Tourism and North-Kazakhstan State University - North Kazakhstan University named after M. Kozybaev) performed adequately.
Among the women's teams, 10 teams took part. Our girls left the subgroup from the second place; only the team of the Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism (Almaty) lost to the finals. In the struggle for third place, they won the team of Aktobe Regional University. Zhubanova.
