On April 6, a meeting with students of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism took place in the conference hall of the Kostanay State Pedagogical University. They took part in the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang in February 2018. They are students of the 3rd year. Krestova Anastasia is an international master, Zhaksibaev Mersaid is a world-class sports master , 2nd year student Shaymukhanov Yerkebulan is a world-class sports master, and also a 3-year student of the national short track team Tikhonova Olga.
Students of the 1st year of the specialty "Physical Culture and Sport", who wish students from other courses, as well as students from other faculties who are keen on sports, were invited to the meeting. The meeting was started by the dean of the faculty of physical culture. sport and tourism. Кифик Н.Ю. with the presentation of the guests of this meeting and the goals of this event. Then the floor was given to the vice-rector for scientific work and strategic development Akhmetov TA. who marked the importance of this meeting for all those present, but primarily for students. They noted that our Olympians defended not only the honor of the Republic of Kazakhstan, but also the honor of its institution.
The moderator of the meeting was Deputy Dean Shcvarenko N.S, who set an informal tone for this meeting. By way of a question-answer form, a conversation was held with the Olympians, who told about their impressions of the Olympiad, about the peculiarities of preparation for the Olympic Games. The girls were preparing for the Olympics in Korea for a year, and the boys were trained in Holland for two years. But at the same time noted that this time is clearly not enough to prepare for the Olympics.
During the meeting, students asked questions, in particular, they were interested in: how to set themselves up for victory; which settings are given to athletes by coaches before the start; what are the conditions for accommodation of athletes in the Olympic Village; what is the attitude to athletes from Kazakhstan? what was the diet of athletes; that Kazakhstan athletes do not have enough to win. The Olympians answered all questions easily, at ease, described their experiences, feelings. For ourselves, our athletes decided to take part in the Olympic Games in 2022 and now they will go to the Olympic Games only after the victory!
At the end of the meeting, a photo session with Olympians took place.
