The regional championship in track and field athletics

Annually the regional championships in track and field athletics are held. From 25 to 27 April was held the Championship of Kostanay region on track and field athletics under the auspices of the VII small Olympic Games. This time the competitions were held in the city of Rudny. The competition involved universities, colleges, children's sports schools, and other educational institutions of the region. There were more than 250 participants in the Championship. Competitions were held according to IAAF Competition Rules 2017-2018
The program of competitions in athletics included: 60 m, 100 m, 150 m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m, 1500 m, 3000 m, shot put, length jumps and relay race 100-200-300-400 m.
As a result of these competitions, the team of the faculty of physical culture, sports and tourism of the Kostanay State Pedagogical Institute performed with dignity, showing the following results:
- I place Ostapenko Andrey in the 100m race;
- II place Ostapenko Andrei in the 200m race
- II place Shatrova Anastasia in the running at 60m;
- II place Shatrova Anastasia in the running at 150m;
- II place Konarbai Rayymbek in the 1000m race;
- II place Alexander Skachkov in the 400m race;
- II place Alekseev Roman in the running at 150m;
- III place Kononenko Anastasia in the run on 60m;
- III place Melnik Roman in the running at 60m;
- III place Seitzhanov Tanatkan in the 1500m race;
- II place Aidarkanova Dilar in the running at 800m;
- III place Alekseev Roman in long jump.
