Participation of students of the Faculty of Physical Education, Sports and Tourism in the International Universiade

From March 2 to March 12, will be held student competitions within the framework of the International Universiade in winter sports in the Krasnoyarsk (Russia). These competitions have been held since 1992. During this period, the student team of Kazakhstan won over 84 awards at various levels. This year 95 athletes are represented at the International Universiade from Kazakhstan, and 10 of them are students of the Faculty of Physical Education, Sports and Tourism! More of us, students-sportsmen presented only the Academy of Sports and Tourism of Almaty.

We successfully passed the accreditation and received vouchers for these competitions masters of sports and masters of international class:

  • Bashmakov Nail – ski race, 4th year student of the PESaT;
  • Lyuf Maria – cross-country skiing student 1 course PESaT;
  • Shalygina Ksenia – ski race, student of the 3rd year PESaT
  • Amirgaliyeva Aliya – short-track, student of the 1st course PESaT
  • Bakhytkereeva Kadisha - a short track student of the 1st course PESaT
  • Tikhonova Olga – short track student 4th year PESaT
  • Krestova Anastasia – short track student of the 3rd year PESaT
  • Shamukhanov Erkebulan – short track student, 3rd year student, PESaT
  • Zhaksybayev Mersait – short track student, 4th year student, PESaT
  • Rebik Evgeniy – short track student, 3rd year student, PESaT

A total of 76 sets of awards will be played in 11 sports: biathlon, alpine skiing, curling, skiing, short track, snowboarding, freestyle, bandy, figure skating, orienteering, and hockey. We hope for the success of our students in two sports: short track and cross-country skiing.
