V congress of world and traditional religions

June 10-11, 2015, Advisor to the Rector G. Shaimerden took part in the V Congress of World and Traditional Religions held in Astana under the overall theme of "Religion and the sustainable development of the world." The subjects of the fifth congress was somewhat offset in the political and social and economic area. This is due to the second wave of the global economic crisis, the peak of which is yet to come and the consequences of which have already designated in the growing tension in inter-religious and inter-ethnic relations in almost all countries of the world. The standard of living is falling, the number of poor is growing, social discontent and protests can be realized in the form of religious extremism. These issues were the subject of intense debate in the V Congress of the four sections.
