Champions, again!

From November 5 to 10, 2019 in the Serbian city Novi Sad was held the world championship in kettlebell lifting. The competition was attended by more than 500 athletes from 30 countries in different categories: amateurs and veterans, juniors, men and women in different weight categories. Kazakhstan was represented by a delegation of 56 athletes, including three student representatives of Kostanai State Pedagogical University:
- Master of Sports of the international class Turchenko Semyon;
- Master of Sports of International Class Litvinova Yana;
- Master of Sports Kangash Ilya.
None of our students left the championships without rewards:
- Turchenko Semyon became the two-time world champion among juniors and received a silver medal among men;
- Litvinova Yana earned a gold medal among juniors and a silver medal among women;
- Kangash Ilya won second place among juniors and first place among men!
The master of sports of international class is the penultimate step in the athlete’s career, followed by the honored master of sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan. To obtain this title, the second-year student Turchenko Semen must twice more become a world champion. And this is the goal towards which he is taking a confident step.
