Seminar "Formative and summative assessment"

On January 11, 2018, a methodical seminar was organized by the Faculty of Additional and Distance Learning on the topic "Evaluation for Learning and Evaluation of Learning".
The purpose of the seminar is to discuss the status of the evaluation pitch in the framework of updating the content of the school curriculum and to familiarize themselves with the experience of the evaluation work in the PI PML of Kostanay.
The seminar discussed the theoretical foundations of formative and summative assessment, the problems of introducing and using these types of assessment in the learning process in school. Teachers of Geography Simkova N.N. The experience of using in teaching, its difficulties and prospects was presented.

As a result of the discussion, the seminar participants identified the following areas:
- Formative assessment of technology
- there are difficulties with the perception of this type of assessment, both by students and their parents
Thus, the seminar participants concluded that a formative and cumulative assessment should contribute to the formation of an individual trajectory of learning.
