Competition "Abaev readings" dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Abay Kunanbayev

In order to implement the project "Tugan Zher" in the framework of the program article of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev's “Look into the Future: Modernization of Public Consciousness” and the implementation of the decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan KK Tokaev on the celebration of the 175th anniversary of Abay Kunanbaev, Kostanai State Pedagogical University named after Umirzak Sultangazin on February 19, 2020 held a regional contest "Abaev readings" among students of universities and colleges.

The aim of the “Abaev readings” competition was: to popularize the literary heritage of the Kazakh people, to promote Abai’s works, to increase students' interest in studying classical literature, to identify translated Abai’s works into languages ​​of other nationalities, to develop literary reading through Abai’s works, to develop language culture, aesthetic taste and personal qualities in the works of Abai, the cultivation of love for the work of the great, the spiritual heritage of the nation.

Abaev readings were held in 3 nominations:

1. Nomination "Olen sozdyn patshasy, soz sarasy"- a competition for reading by heart the poems of Abai.
2.  Expressive reciting by heart of Abay's poems in the nomination "Abay қara sozderi - tagylymdy tura"
3. Nomination "Uiyiktap zhatkan zhurekti an oyatar"- the student’s skill in performing songs of Abay is evaluated.

The competition was attended by more than 64 university students and colleges, such as:

1. KSPU named after U. Sultangazin
2. KSU named after A. Baitursynov
3. Arkalyk Pedagogical Institute named after I. Altynsarin
4. Kostanay socio-technical university named after Z. Aldamzhar
5. Kostanay Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Sh. Kabybbaev
6. Kostanay Industrial College
7. Rudny Social and Humanitarian College named after I. Altynsarin

As a jury were invited:

1. Serikkazy Korabay, head of the department "Abaevology and Literature" of the Institute of Arts and Literature named after M. Auezov.
2. Konysbek Begaydarov, artist of the Kazakh Drama Theater after I.Omarov, winner of the medal "" Madeniet Kairatkeri "," Eren enbegi ".
3. Utelbaeva Saltanat Amantayevna, laureate of the republican aitys akyns, deputy head for scientific work of the memorial museum I. Altynsarin of the Kostanay region.
4. Erbol Ipbergenov, head of the Kostanay TV channel.
5. Gulbanu Abdulina, cultural figure, honored cultural worker, singer of the Philharmonic.
6. Abdibekova Aikumis Yelikbaevna, head of the Center for Multilingualism of KSU named after A. Baitursynova.

Journalists from the Kostanay TV channel, the newspaper Kostanay tany and Our Kostanay attended the event from press representatives. According to the results of the contest the following prizes were determined with granting of funds (1st place - 50 000 tenge; 2nd place - 30 000 tenge; 3rd place - 20 000 tenge):

2. II place - Kendirbekova Lyazzat, ASPI named after Y. Altynsarin, "Kazakh language and literature", 1st year student.
3. III place - Aday Aruzhan, KSPU named after U.Sultangazin, "Foreign language: two foreign languages", 1st year student.

Nomination "Olen sozdyn patshasy, soz sarasy"

• I place - Saktabergenova Akku, Kostanay Teacher Training College, "Kazakh language and literature", 3rd year student.
• ІI place - Shifner Nadezhda, KSU named after A. Baitursynov, "Low", 3rd year student.
• III place - Akylzhan Nagashybay, KSTU named after Z. Aldamzhar, "Low", 2nd year student.

Nomination "Uiyiktap zhatkan zhurekti an oyatar"

•  I place - Zhazykpaev Bekbolat, KSPU named after U. Sultangazin, "Musical Education", 3rd year student.
• ІI place - Karimova Diana, KSPU named after U. Sultangazin, "Foreign language: two foreign languages", 2nd year student.
• ІІI place - Turetbaeva Akmaral, KSPU named after U. Sultangazin, "Foreign language: two foreign languages", 2nd year student.

The participants and guests of the event noted the high professionalism of the jury, the justice and uncompromising nature of their assessments, the atmosphere of goodwill and mutual understanding. The culmination of the day was the solemn announcement of the results and the awarding of the contest participants.
