A practical seminar on the theme "Analysis of the decision-making on the olympiad tasks of the 2 and 3 stages of the Republican Olympiad on the subject "The English language" was organized on January 18th , 2018 on the basis of State Institution "School-Lyceum #3 of the Department of Education of Kostanay Akimat" with the direct support of the Education Department of the City Center for the Work with Gifted Children (Daryn). The leading teacher was V.V. Danilova, PhD, c.p.sc., master of pedagogy and psychology, senior lecturer of the Foreign Languages Department, KSPI.
The seminar consisted of two phases - the phase of the theoretical explanation of the most typical errors of students admitted in the process of solving the Olympiad assignments of the first and second tours; and a practical phase aimed at direct demonstration of the tasks of the section "Use of English" (Grammar and Vocabulary), "Reading", "Writing" (formal and informal writing), "Speaking" (Dialogue and monologue).
The final phase was the organization of reflection in accord with 4 main parameters - self-evaluation of skills, knowledge, lecturer activity and own activity.
Participants of the seminar note its high organization and practical orientation. All participants of the seminar were awarded with certificates.
