A Curatorial Hour "The Benefits and Harm of Social Networks"

On 15st February students of the first course of specialty 5B011800 "Russian Language and Literature" conducted a curatorial hour on the topic "Benefits and harm of social networks" with the curator Matershova A.I. Students conducted group work. The one group considered the positive aspects of social networks, another group considered the negative sides. Students reviewed the presentations of individual reports after preparation of analysis of group works.
Konovalova Ksenia prepared a presentation "The history of social networks", which showed the chronology of the emergence and development of the most popular social networks - Twitter, Facebook, VKontakte, Instagram, etc. Kurpilianskaya Antonina and Demina Catherine prepared a presentation at the topic: "Psychological dependence on social networks," they examined the signs of dependence. Each of the participants of the curatorial hour was able to analyze owbn dependence on social networks. A report on the topic: "Dangers of social networks" was made by Irina Samokhina, she told about scammers and terrorists in social networks. She provided an example of how personal data and interests of a person could be to find out.
After the group work was carried out - one group prepared practical advices for people who had psychological dependence, and another group prepared recommendations how to avoid the danger in social networks. The curatorial hour was interesting and productive.
