Startup Bolashak: "Menin Armanym"

From February 23 to February 25, 2018 in Kostanay the regional selection round of the republican startup contest "Startup "Bolashak": Menin Armanym" was held. The organizers of the contest are Bolashak Association and “Damu” Entrepreneurship Development Fund. The prize fund of the business projects contest is more than 30 million tenge.
The applications for the contest were submitted by over 200 people from all over the Kostanay region, and, as a result, 33 projects passed in a quarter of the final. The teams that developed them will go to Astana in May, where they will have a powerful "business pumping". The winners of the contest will receive funding and become the heroes of the television show broadcast on the "Khabar" TV channel.
The KSPI department of foreign languages was represented at the startup competition by the first-year student Diana Temirkhanova with her advisor, the lecturer of the department Saule Zhaukina. With the project "Promoting Kazakh Culture through Comics in English" they successfully passed two stages of the qualifying round, having the opportunity to promote their business idea already at the republican level in Astana. The mentor of their start-up project will be the winner of the project "100 new faces of Kazakhstan", the deputy of the regional maslikhat, and the director of the poultry farm "Zhas Kanat 2006" Kairat Maishev.
