Intellectual game “Nauryz - a holiday of unity!”

On March 15, 2018 senior teachers of the educational center for language training of the faculty of Philology Abisheva S. and Serzhan-Abdrahmanova Sh. held an intellectual game "Nauryz - a holiday of unity!" in order to educate the younger generation a sense of patriotism, love and respect for the Motherland. The event took place among the 1st year students of specialties “Pedagogics and Psychology” and “Defectology”.
Nauryz is the beginning of spring, awakening of nature. This is a great holiday of our people, rooted in the depth of centuries, announcing the beginning of New year, the holiday of unity and prosperity, the holiday of friendship and solidarity.
The game was played by two teams called “Nauryz” and “Spring”. Each team had to demonstrate their abilities and knowledge. Game questions were devoted to the celebration of the Great Nauryz holiday, Kazakh folk traditions, rituals, games, national musical instruments, proverbs and sayings of the Kazakh people.
The proposed questions were answered by students actively. They showed their ingenuity, erudition, good knowledge of Kazakh traditions and customs.
Participants chose a question on various subjects: “Great Nauryz holiday”, “Kazakh songs”, “Kazakhstan”, “Rituals and traditions”, “Proverbs and sayings”.
The students showed not only their erudition, wit and good knowledge, but also the desire to win.
The teams' answers were estimated with 100 scores.
At the end of the game the jury chose the winner and the participants shared their opinions on the game:
- 1st place-1500 points “Spring”;
- 2nd place-1200 points “Nauryz”
The participants were awarded prizes, and the audience got sweet gifts.
