The 190th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian writer Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy

The 9th September marks the 190th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian writer Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy. The Kostanay's library of his name has devoted event for this day on September 21. The students of the first year of “Russian language and literature” specialty were all invited for this event as guests.
The aim of this event was to show the young readers that works of Tolstoy is admired and appreciated for versatility, freedom of thought, deep philosophy of life. A lot was said about Lev Nikolayevich himself and about his bright and rich destiny. As A.M.Gorky said “Tolstoy is the whole world”.
Among the invited honorable guests were: the professor of Kostanay State University and Slavic Academy Yury Yakovlevich Bondarenko, branch of the Kostanay’s Chelyabinsk State University of the Department of Social and Humanitarian and Natural Sciences Alexander Valerianovich Vidershpand, Honored Artist of Russia Valery Zakhariev, leading actress of thr Kostanay Regional Russian Drama Theater Lyubov Ivanovna Romadina, poetess and student of Kostanay State Pedagogical University Marina Pecorkina, the librarian Anara Bazarbai.
The guests were sharing their thoughts with the audience and read the extracts from the famous compositions such as “War and Peace”, ”Anna Karenina”, “Childhood”. It was an hour of the true and interesting diving in life and creation of L.N.Tolstoy.
