By a government decree on November 16, 2018, Kostanay State Pedagogical University was named after Umirzak Sultangazin. In this connection, on February 20, 2019, the students of 1-3 courses of the specialties “Foreign language: two foreign languages”, “Kazakh language and literature”, “History” have watched the film “Life history of Umirzak Sultangazin”. Umirzak Makhmutovich was a mathematician, academician of the Kazakh SSR Academy of Sciences, a doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, a professor, an honorary member of the Russian Academy of Cosmonautics, a Director of the Space Research Institute of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Before watching the film, the head of the department of foreign languages, Manasbayeva N.S. had delivered an opening speech. The film watching was organized by Manasbayeva N.S Head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Ismagulova G.B. teacher of the department of foreign languages. The film "Life history of Umirzak Sultangazin" tells about the biography of a famous mathematician, as well as about his contribution to the scientific work.
