«Are not burn the birdwatcher – Become the birdwatcher»

On November 29, 2017 at department of natural sciences there has taken place the ecological action devoted to the World Day of Birdwatchers.

Birdwatching – one of the most humane hobbies, a kind of ecotourism when the person just watches birds by means of the field-glass or with the naked eye.

Birdwatchers divide themselves into two types. The first – professionals and those who have a certain knowledge base in ornithology. For them the berdvoching has scientific value more. The second – those to whom observation of birds gives esthetic pleasure. The first more than attention pay to purchase of expensive photography equipment, the second prefer to spend money for trips to places where it is possible to see rare exotic birds.

Promoting among students of specialty "Biology" of a berdvoching became the purpose of this action.

"Day of birdwatchers" has been organized and spent by students of 1 course of the Russian and polylingual office of specialty "Biology", within implementation of the social project of students (head Rulyova M.M.) and also works of student's club of byodvocher "Fifi" (Bragina T. M., Bragin E.A., Valyaeva E.A.) of Natural and mathematical faculty.

Students 1 and 3 courses of specialty of "Biology" have participated in an action. The action has taken place in a competition form between 4 teams: two of which were formed by students of a third year, and two others – students of the first.

6 tasks have been offered participants: guessing of the name of the birds ciphered in rebuses, recognition of birds on characteristic sign, a mosaic, "A magic square", etc.

By the total number of points the victory was won by one of teams 3 courses. Students have shown fine knowledge of fundamentals of ornithology, systematization of birds.
