Excursion of pupils of the SGC named after I.Altynsarin to the geological museum

On December 20, 2017, the 1st year students of the specialty "Geography" organized a tour of the 8th grade "B" SGC of the I.Altynsarin to the geological museum as part of the implementation of the 1st stage of the social project "Kostanay - Altyn besigym".
The purpose of the excursion is to acquaint students with the variety of rocks, minerals, minerals of the Kostanay region.
The head of the museum, Vera Petrovna, told and showed to schoolchildren samples of geological, paleontological materials.
These are the bones of ancient elephants and the teeth of mammoths. A unique collection of flora and fauna of the Lower Miocene age from the outcrop of Kushuk in Turgai. It is the only location of flora and fauna of the Mediterranean type in Kazakhstan.
All types of mineral resources of Kostanay region are represented here, on the shelves are represented schemes of deposits, scientists-geologists, engaged in exploration and production.
For schoolchildren, the seen exhibit of Novonezhinsky oil (Auliekol district) aroused interest.
In the geological museum there are samples of rocks and minerals brought by geologists from around the world (Mongolia, Russia, Australia, etc.).
Of great interest was the geological capsule laid by geologists in 1967, which on December 15, 2017 was discovered by geologists of our time.
The presence of a huge variety of minerals and rocks in the bowels of the earth aroused great interest among schoolchildren. The children left a note in the attendance log, wrote a letter of thanks for the excursion.
