On November 22, 2018 teachers Baimaganbetova K. T., Baubekova G. K., students of 2.3 courses of specialty "Geography" of the Department of natural Sciences Of the natural mathematics faculty took part in the event "Presentation of the series "Akzhanal-Mashani" dedicated to the scientist-geologist, doctor of geological and mineralogical sciences, professor, writer, corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, honored scientist of Kazakhstan Akzhan al-Mashani, organized by the staff of Kostanay Regional library. L. Tolstoy.
Within the framework was organized of the event, an exhibition of scientific works, archival, personal documents of Professor A. Mashanov presented by the Fund of Kostanay regional memorial Museum of Ibray Altynsarin.
Speakers Akhmetchin G., Baubekova G. K., noted the special role of Akzhan Mashanov in the study of the works of the great scientist Abu Nasir al-Farabi, the creation of a new direction in geological science - geomechanics, which allowed the study of Akbastau-Kusmuryn, Leninogorsk, Zyryanovsky, Torgai, Zhezkazgan and Karatau deposits. The founder of the A. Mashanov - Kazakh science fiction, the author of the novel «Journey into the depths of the earth», «the Mystery of Earth» the Kazakh – Russian and Russian-Kazakh dictionaries of mining, Geology and metallurgy.
Akzhan al-Mashani is a worthy son of his people and an outstanding personality of the great steppe.
