On February 3, in the Student's House - hostel No.3, the traditional chess and checkers championship among students of the Faculty of history and arts was held, dedicated to the important event taking place in Kazakhstan - the Universiade - 2017, where students from the KSPI will participate. The tournament brought together a lot of students who want to show their skills in these two old games.
At the end of the tournament: in the women's league in checkers - 1st place was taken by the 2nd year student of the specialty "History" of Amambayeva Ainura. In the men's league of the checkers championship, the first place was taken by the 1st year student Abylaykhan Bakytzhan, the 2nd place - Taten Mulen, the third place - Gissa Zhanbota. In the championship in chess in the men's league, Kapanov Aidos, 1st year student of the specialty "History" took the 1st place, the 2nd place - Sakipzhanov Murat, the 3rd place - Meshitkhan Akzhol. The Chess and Checkers Championship among students in the faculties is the qualifying tournament to identify the best players in these sports for the Chess and Checkers Championship among the students of the Institute. The organizers of the championship were department lecturers - Yelkey N.N., Abenov D.E., Nurpeisova E.T., Abilmalikov K.K.
