The international academic and research conference "New names and the facts in the history of mass political repressions in Kazakhstan and Western Siberia in the 1920-1950th"

On May 25, 2017 based on the Eurasian national university of L. N. Gumilev, APK department of KSPI, the Center of the humanitarian researches "Eurasia" and the department of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan of ENU of L. N. Gumilev, held the International academic and research conference "New names and the facts in the history of mass political repressions in Kazakhstan and Western Siberia in the 1920-1950th", devoted to the 80 anniversary of the beginning of mass political repressions, dated for the Day of remembrance of the hunger and political repressions' victims. This subject is especially important in the light of program article of the Head of the country N. A. Nazarbayev "The prospection: modernization of public consciousness" in which an important priority is "studying of the regional history, recovery of cultural and historical monuments and cultural objects of local scale". The scientific, public figures, teachers and staff of higher education institutions, research establishments who are engaged in studying of this subject participated in the conference.
At the conference the questions devoted to the problems of a source study and the historiography of the history of mass political repressions in Kazakhstan and Western Siberia in the 1920-1950th years were considered. Ayagan Burkitbay Gelmanula – doctor of Historical Sciences , the director of Institute of history of the state of MES RK told about work experience in foreign archives of Guverovsk institute of war, revolution and the world (USA) and the International institute of social history (Amsterdam, the Netherlands).
Kabuldinov Ziyabek Ermukhanovich – Doctor of Historical Sciences, the chief researcher of Research Center "Eurasia", the scientific secretary of the National congress of historians devoted the performance to destinies of victims of political repression and their children. Tokar Peter Vasilyevich – Candidate of Historical Sciences, the invited foreign professor (Ukraine) of department of the international relations and department of political science, honorary professor of ENU of L. N. Gumilev shared experience and reflections from practice of researches of a subject of the Holodomor by scientists of Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
Mamytova Saule Nasenovna – Candidate of Historical Sciences, professor of department of the history of Kazakhstan of the Pavlodar state university of S. Toraygyrov, told about Priirtysh as the region of political exile and repressions.
Zhumagulov Sagymbay Botbaiuly –Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, professor of department of the Kazakh literature, the employee of Institute of culture and spiritual development "Alash" ENU of L. N. Gumilev, devoted the report to lighting problems in the Kazakh literature of a subject of GULAG.
Mukatayeva Lepuda Karimovna – Candidate of Historical Sciences, professor of University of KazSJU told about some problems of studying of the history of the deported people in scientific heritage of the academician M. Kozybayev.
Iskakova Kulzira Ydryskyzy – Candidate of Philological Sciences, professor of department of history of Kazakhstan devoted ENU of L. N. Gumilev about the report to the victim of political repressions in 1945-1951 to the economist, the participant of the Second World War - Tuymebayu Ashimbayev.
The archivist of the highest level of qualification of the Central Public Records Office of scientific and technical documentation (Almaty), Candidate of Historical Sciences, Gribanova Elena Mikhaylovna, told about work of archive on search of the forgotten names by recovery of methods of "an oral history" of the 1930th and methods of storage of memoirs of victims of political repression and their descendants.
Manager of the department of the History of Kazakhstan of the Pavlodar state university of S. Toraygyrov, Candidate of Historical Sciences, associate professor Mardanova Zuleykha Zhenisovna, devoted the report to forced migrations in Kazakhstan in the first half of the 20th century, to their state regulation and effects. Sarsembina Kuralay Kuandykovna – Candidate of Historical Sciences told about effects of political repressions in the 1930-1950th., the associate professor of archeology and ethnology of ENU of L. N. Gumilev.
Social and economic aspects of repressions from Kazakhs of Western Siberia in 1920-1930 were distinguished in the performance by the doctor of PhD, the associate professor of APK of KSPI, Kozybayeva Makhabbat Malikovna. Teachers of socio-political disciplines of the Karaganda polytechnic college Aupenova Aliya Ukuzhanovna, Tarasov Sergey Petrovich reported on conferees on results of studying of a condition of labor fund at construction of coal mine No. 4.
At the conference offers more actively and more widely to propagandize new names in the history of political repressions, to study national aspect of political repressions were provided; political repressions among the Kazakh population of Western Siberia; to activate studying of work of labor camps, labor settlements and places of the conclusions, material and household provision of exiled; to continue search of new names of victims of political repression and a framework of the local history work; to determine problems of identification and studying of new sources by history of political repressions; to study processes of recovery of victims of political repressions.
