On November 22 at the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism was held a discussion on the article “Seven Facets of the Great Steppe” written by president of the state N.A. Nazarbayev.
The teachers got acquainted in advance with this article. During the discussion, the teachers of the department expressed their opinions on all the main sections of this article. The event on the discussion of the article held the head of Department Ogienko N.A., who gave the floor to teachers to express their own opinions on this issue. Gurskaya I.F. started the speech and K.T. Kakashev continued her speech, who noted that the article paid considerable attention to the development of Kazakh culture, and in particular the development of national sports. Further, Egorova A.M. expressed her opinion. Senior Lecturer of the Department noted the need to maintain the spirit of patriotism and citizenship in students. In his speech Sivokhin I.P. Professor of the Department, Ph.D. dwelled on the fact that it is necessary to promote knowledge among young people about their famous athletes, their achievements, because it produces students patriotic spirit and desire to achieve the same heights.
At the end of the discussion, it was decided to work out specific activities at the faculty to promote the steps recommended in this article.
