The competition on the subject of My profession is what I am proud of

A contest of social videos on the following subject of "My profession is what I am proud of" was organized within the framework of the psychology and defectology departments among the students majoring in Education Science and Psychology, Psychology and Defectology under the direction of the vice-dean of the faculty of Psychology and Pedagogics G.A. Alipbaeva altogether with the senior teacher fellow S.D. Ahmеtbekova on the 6th of April 2018.
The contest sets the following tasks and goals, that is to support and develop students' creative abilities; to promote professional self-knowledge, to widen horizons and to form an interest to the future profession; to create a positive environment for inner spiritual development as well as realization of youth's active life and civil stances. The event was attended by the teaching staff and students.
At the very beginning the dean of the Psychology and Education Science faculty of the KSPU Cand. Sc. N.A. Aydnalieva delivered a welcome speech.
Best social videos devoted to the profession of tutor-psychologist, psychologist and defectologist were selected by an estimated jury comprised of the faculty members, that is Chairperson of Psychology and Defectology Department, Cand. Sc. L.N. Lihodedova; Associate Professor of the Psychology and Defectology Department, Cand.Sc. Sh.S. Demisenova; Senior Teacher Fellow, PhD Doctor A.A. Tashetov; Senior Teacher Fellow, Master of Psychology O.V. Kalinichenko; Senior Teacher Fellow B.K. Kairova.
Nurahmet Dana, a sophomore majoring in Defectology, performed a song "Mamma knows best" after review and defence of the videos.
First prize was awarded to the sophomore students of the Russian division majoring in Education Science and Psychology, Psychology with the video titled "Psychologist as profession or vacation?" Second prize was awarded to the senior students of the Russian division majoring in Defectology with the video titled "Walk this life together." Third prize was awarded to the junior students of the Kazakh division majoring in Defectology with the video titled "Ruhani Jangiru."
Remaining participants were comprised of freshman students of the Kazakh division majoring in Educational Science and Psychology with the video titled "Maman Yeleri", in Defectology with the video titled "Children of the Sun" as well as of freshman students of the Russian dvision majoring in Defectology with the video titled "New lease of life"; of sophomore students of the Kazakh division majoring in Defectology with the video titled "There is a profession to love somebody else's children."
All participants were awarded with certificates. Students taken first, second and third prizes were awarded with a sweet cake.
The event was held on a good methodical level. Participants displayed an active attitude and showed their creative abilities. The contest contributed to development of the civil and patriotic education and to creation of positive image of the profession chosen by students.
