International Day of Education in Kazakhstan

International Day of Education is celebrated for the first time since 2019 around the world on January, 24.
The UN General Assembly in resolution of December 3, 2018 (A / RES / 73/25) proclaimed January 24 as International Day of Education, recognizing its role in achieving peace and development.
As part of the celebration of the International Day of Education, the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University together with the UNESCO Cluster Office in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan organized an online meeting, which was attended by the Council of young scientists and students of Kostanay State Pedagogical University named after U. Sultangazin, representatives of the M. Auezov South Kazakhstan State University, Zhetysu State University named after I. Zhansugurov, Pavlodar State Pedagogical Institute, Atyrau State University named afer H. Dosmukhamedov, Kokshetau State University named after Sh. Ualikhanov.
The following issues were considered during the meeting: the importance of education on the 17 priorities that contribute to the sustainable development of Kazakhstan until 2030; solutions to the problems in the industry. Furthermore, the project «t2t Networking» was presented, which is initiated by the Association of young scientists of Kazakhstan. The project presentation aroused great interest among faculty members of universities, since the project is aimed at increasing the scientific and pedagogical potential of schools located in rural areas, creating a common dialogue platform for university graduates and young scientists in higher educational institutions of the country.
