Naurys meyramy is a holiday of spring renovation in Kazakhstan. According to the Eastern calendar Naurys, the beginning of the year, matches with spring equinox. For Kazakh people this holiday is a symbol of spring renovation, celebration of love, fertility and friendship. It is said that generous celebration of Naurys holiday will bring wealth and success into the house for the whole year.
During these days they cook lots of dishes which symbolize prosperity and abundance in the coming year. They wear festive clothes, visiting each other and exchanging congratulations and wishes of well-being and in the coming year.
19th of March, 2014 at Kostanay state pedagogical institute a ceremony dedicated to Naurys meyramy.
From the stage, rector of KSPI, Professor K. Baymyrsayev congratulated all the teachers and colleagues with the holiday, also Kuat Maratovich awarded the best teachers of the institute with thank-you letters.
The evening's program was varied, dancers were replaced by singers, and all the performances were devoted to the spring holiday – Naurys meyramy.
