Today, every university entrant is faced with an actual question of choosing a prestigious and at the same time demanded profession. His future depends on his conscious choice. And the question is what profession to choose and how to be in demand and competitive on the labor market today?
To help answer this and many other questions, the Department of Philology on April 29, 2020 for the first time held a virtual Open Day for pupils of the 10th-11th grades of schools of Kostanay region.
The program of the event was informative and useful for future entrants. They met online with the head of the Department of Philology, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor K.Nurmukhametova and the heads of the educational programs T.Seisembai, K.Brimzhanova, A.Kinzhibaeva.
K. Nurmukhametova noted the importance of the profession of a teacher, which is very difficult to overestimate, as it is one of the most honorable and necessary professions in the world. Karlygash Turganbekovna emphasized that teachers have great responsibility as they are responsible for improvement of the younger generation, and the future of the country depends on it.
The heads of educational programs made a presentation and gave detailed information on each educational program in the direction of training teachers in languages and literature, indicating additional sources of information on each educational program.
Speakers noted the main advantages of the profession of a teacher - philologist in the modern world: demand and prestige, emphasizing that today there is an acute shortage of specialists in this area, universality of the profession of philologist gives the opportunity to work in a variety of organizations as a teacher, researcher, literary editor or interpreter, sociability and communicativeness - the graduate has rich vocabulary and has a thorough knowledge of all norms of literary language. Emphasis was placed on the fact that knowledge of languages is one of the trends in the modern world.
Traditionally, the program of the Open Day was actively supported by students of the Department of Philology, who shared their impressions of studying at the university and expressed their gratitude and recognition to the teachers and administration for the opportunities provided, as well as wished the applicants to make the right choice.
The Head of the Department of Philology thanked the participants, adding that the new format of the Open Day has not become an obstacle for meetings with potential students, and expressed sincere gratitude for the effective cooperation.
