“The week of Francophonie– 2013”

The Francophonie (fr. La Francophonie) – is an international organization of French-speaking countries. The main criterion for entry into the organization isn't considered the extent of French language proficiency of the commonwealth (although it is encouraged), but rather the cultural contact with France established for decades. The modern organization was created in 1970. The motto of the organization is a French dictum "Equality, complementarity and solidarity." (fr. «égalité, complémentarité, solidarité»). As part of the celebration of the Francophonie in Kazakhstan the Department of Culture and Cooperation (SCAC) of French Embassy in Kazakhstan, the network of French Alliances and Kazakhstan Association of Teachers of French organized the 5th National Competition of Francophone song, the theme of which was "the Francophonie song". Kostanay French cultural center of KSPI held the semifinal of the competition on March 18, 2013.For participation in the competition six participants were announced. The judges of a contest have selected two finalists. In the category of "non-francophone" the winner was OsipovaDaria, a student of Kostanay brunch of CSU, and in the category of "francophone" – OmirzhanovaAydana, a student of KSPI. All participants were awarded prizes, and the winners of the semifinal will perform on April 6 in Astana. The main prize of the competition is a trip to France.
