16-17.05.13On May 16-17, 2013 in Astana congress of philologists "The main priorities of development of philological formation of Kazakhstan" took place. In work of congress the rector of KSPI professor BaymyrzayevҚ. M. and the chairperson of department chair of foreign languages Kudritskaya M. I. took part.On May 16 registration of participants of congress and section meetings took place. Қ. Baymyrzayev took part in plenary session and in work of the first section "Trinity of languages. A role of a state language in consolidation of the Kazakhstan youth".Kudritskaya M. I. took part in work of the third section "Improvement of Techniques of Teaching Language and Literature, Development of System of Electronic Training in the conditions of Integration into World Educational Space" where made the report in English on the subject "The Principles of Training in Foreign Languages from Early Age". Positive reviews of colleagues co-reporters and other participants of work of section are taught. In total there were more than 50 people, including representatives of publishing house of the Cambridge University and the British Council participated in section.ffl-16-17.05.13 1On May 17 the exhibition of editions for the sphere of philological education and plenary session of congress took place where the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan B. T. Zhumagulov made a speech. In the speech he said about the current condition of philological education in the republic, and planned essentially important directions of its development. Also teachers-philologists, directors of schools, the rector of higher education institutions made a speech at plenary session.
Following the results of congress the resolution was adopted and the collection of materials is published. The concept of congress of philologists includes key problems of development of philological education in the Republic of Kazakhstan, among which definition of concrete ways of development of polylingual education in which realization the staff of faculty of foreign languages has to be directly involved. In particular, it is noted that "English becomes the main instrument of the international communications in all spheres of human activity and by that increases competitiveness of the human capital" (page 29 of the Program of Congress).
In this regard a number of priorities are sounded:

  • preparation of pedagogical shots of system of preschool education for studying of languages;
  • introduction of practice of teaching mathematics and natural sciences in English after the termination of elementary school;
  • development of training programs, textbooks and EMC in school subjects of a natural and mathematical cycle for polylingual schools and selection of authors for their drawing up;
  • development of educational programs, textbooks and educational and methodical literature of PPS of higher education institutions with participation of foreign partner higher education institutions;
  • creation of joint groups of authors on writing of basic textbooks for higher education institutions;
