February 20, 2018 within the week of the educational center of language training of the faculty of Philology held a seminar-training on "Interactive methods of teaching a foreign language." Seminar-training was held by senior teacher of the center Kashkadamov K.S.
The purpose of the seminar is to improve the professional competence of teachers. Kashkadamov K. S. familiarized the participants with the teaching methodology in Germany and demonstrated interactive methods of teaching foreign languages, as games, she uses in class. The use of game modeling in teaching a foreign language ensures the unity of emotional and rational in the learning process. The game increases the interest of students in the process of learning foreign languages, stimulates cognitive activity, which allows students to receive and assimilate more information. For example, at the stage of acquaintance with a group, you can use the game "Cut your doll". The essence of this game is as follows: on different parts of the trunk of the carved doll students write their name, their dream, their hobbies and their preferences. Then they talk about themselves in a foreign language. At the final stage of this method, students write wishes to their partner.
Another method, proposed by Kuanysh Suleymenovna called "Foldstory". It involves the compilation of a joint history with drawings. Thus there is a reiteration of the same phrases using gestures and facial expressions. With this form of training, the teacher becomes the organizer of independent educational, cognitive, communicative, creative activities of students.
Thus, the use of such interesting forms and methods in the implementation of the personal-oriented approach to teaching a foreign language can significantly increase the time of speech practice in the classroom for each student, to achieve the assimilation of the material by all members of the group, to develop the communicative competence of students.
During the seminar the lecturer managed to organize productive interaction of all participants in the implementation of interactive practical tasks. The seminar was held with great success and was highly appreciated by the participants.
