Round Table "Modern education and natural sciences"

On November 6, 2017, within the framework of the "Ruhani zharyrou" program, the Department of Natural Sciences hosted a round table "Modern Education and Natural Science Disciplines".
The goal is to discuss an updated secondary education program in natural disciplines. The tasks of the event are to organize discussion of the updated program by the Methodists of the Department and the students of the final courses, to analyze and discuss the techniques of the development of natural science literacy in chemistry lessons.
The teachers of the department and students of the 1-4 courses of the specialty "Chemistry" took part in the round table. Teachers Abdykalikova K.A., Vazheva N.V. shared their experience and talked about the current state of education of future teachers of chemistry. The reports noted that, according to the President, "in the system of youth priorities, the cult of education today must be placed at the head. Naturally, the policy of educational institutions varies with the conditions and needs of the present. Changes are made in the preparation of students, in the training system itself, in methods and approaches. The focus today is on the independence of students. It is necessary to develop a hunt and desire to learn. The child should be ready for the rapidly changing environmental conditions, most orientate themselves in the flow of information and be prepared for global challenges from the outside. "
Report Kobets Т.S. on the topic "Functional literacy - a new model of school education" related to the updating of the school curriculum in connection with the focus on the development of natural-science, mathematical and literary literacy. Functional literacy is a person's ability to use skills in conditions of his interaction with the society, which gives a person the opportunity to enter into relations with the external environment and to adapt and operate as quickly as possible.
Taurbayeva G.U., Ergalieva E.M. a report "On some techniques for the development of natural-science functional literacy" was made, followed by a discussion in which students and teachers actively participated.
Students familiar with the tasks of the new type expressed an opinion on the need to introduce them into the curriculum of teachers of chemistry. The result of the round table was the conclusion about the need for in-depth study of methods and techniques for the development of natural science literacy in the course of the methodology of teaching chemistry.
