This is possible in close cooperation between the University and employers. An active dialogue in the form of an online round table was held at the Department of psychology and defectology within the framework of the methodological week. The topic of the online round table is "Current issues in the formation of a model of a modern graduate of a University of psychological and pedagogical direction". Today, this topic is very important for the higher education system in the context of the autonomy of higher education institutions and increasing competition between them, and when choosing ways to respond to rapidly developing events in the world. The situation of uncertainty requires a person to be able to resist it and adapt adequately in various spheres of life, and therefore society today especially needs high-quality, qualified psychological and pedagogical assistance and support. For these reasons, the issue of training specialists in this area is very acute.
The purpose of the round table is to identify current graduate competencies necessary for performing professional activities and ways of their formation in the educational process. Employers participated in the discussion of the topic (E. Petrenko, Director of the "Regional center for psychological support and additional education" of the Department of education of the Kostanay region akimat; G. Islyamova, coordinator of the psychological service of the health Department of the Kostanay region akimat; Fedotova E. B., senior lecturer of the Higher school of education of Pavlodar state pedagogical University, the faculty of the Department.
During the discussion, it was noted that the changes taking place in society lead to the emergence of new socially significant guidelines and criteria for evaluating the results of training of future teachers-psychologists and psychologists. Bachelors of psycho-pedagogical direction requires not only a new practice - oriented approach, the formation of a defined educational program professional knowledge, skills, and personal qualities such as: commitment to self-mobility, flexibility in the choice of means and methods of problem solving, ability to work in a team, creativity that can be reflected in the portfolio of the student. It was also emphasized that maintaining a high level of humanitarian, natural science and professional training of graduates should be associated with the formation of a feedback system in the form of an assessment of the graduate's competence by the employer.
The meeting with employers and school psychologists helped to identify relevant components of the graduate model of a psychologist and a teacher-psychologist, which will be included in educational programs and will contribute to the adjustment of existing and development of new disciplines, revision of forms and methods of training.
The participants of the round table noted the professional level of their presentations and the constructive nature of their discussions.
