Applicants pass UNT on the history of Kazakhstan, mathematical literacy, reading literacy (language of instruction) and two Creative subjects:

Applicants on creative specialties have to be creative to pass the exam.
The first creative exam – Pattern (drawing of a man's face mask made of plaster)
- Arrangement and construction of still life.
- Tonal unity and integrity of the drawing.
Main criterion
During the drawing exam (still life), the entrant must show the following skills and abilities in drawing:
- compositional search in the format;
- find the ratio of the plastic shape of the head, its characteristic features (volume, rotation, position of the axis of the head and neck in relation to each other), spatial location;
- compliance with the proportions of parts of the face;
- structural design and modeling of a large form with light and shade;
- possession of a line, stroke, spot;
- completeness of the drawing.
Second creative exam – Painting (still life)
- Arrangement and construction of still life.
- Tonal unity and integrity of the drawing.
Main criterion
During the exam on painting (still life), the applicant must show the following skills and abilities in the conduct of drawing:
- compositional search in the format;
- find the natural (natural) color of objects in the penumbra, color reflexes;
- show your own and falling shadows of objects and draperies;
- transmit the light-air environment.
What happens if you don't pass the creative exam?
Applications for participation in the creative exam will be accepted from June 20 to July 6.
The exam is evaluated on a point system. Consultation and materials on the creative exam can be obtained in the admissions office of the Institute.
Accordingly, all applicants applying for admission to the University for a creative specialty (school graduates of the current year and previous years, College graduates), must pass the creative exam in the specified period.

The curriculum for the training of specialists provides for broad general educational, general pedagogical and special training.
