On 5 December 2018 a competition of student projects “Startup Battle - 2018” was held by senior teachers Brimzhanova K.S. and Koval O.V. in the framework of the Week of the Department of Russian Language and Literature. The competition was held within the framework of the implementation of the “Ruhani zhangyru” program among students of 1-4 courses of the specialty “Russian Language and Literature” Philological faculty. The program “Ruhani zhangyru” is aimed at the development of competitiveness as a success factor. This competition is testament. Students offered their ideas on solving scientific problems in the regional market.
On 4 December 2018 a seminar entitled “Intensification of the educational process in the context of a renewed education” was held by senior lecturers Arsayeva S.B. and Konvisarova L.A. within the framework of the week of the Department of Russian Language and Literature. The seminar was weld after they had been completing refresher courses at the NIS of Astana and the NTPK “Orleu”. The purpose of the seminar is to familiarize teachers and students with the peculiarities of the content of the updated training and to develop skills of using the latest information technologies in the framework of the updated content of education.
November 20, 2018 The American Corner, together with the teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Philology, held a popular competition “Spelling Bee” among students of 2 and 3 courses. More than 50 students took part in a competition. The pronouncer clearly pronounces the word two times. The students should pronounce the word and say each letter distinctly. They have two minutes to spell the word. Students may ask the pronouncer to repeat the word, define it, use it in a sentence, provide the part of speech, and provide the language of origin.
On November 16, 2018, teachers of the Kazakh Language and Literature Department of the Faculty of Philology and students of this specialty met with the head of the Kazakh Language and Literature Department of Shakarim University in Semey, PhD Jundiyeva Arai Kanapiyakyzy. The purpose of the meeting is to acquaint the literary and philosophical heritage of the poet- translator, philosopher Shakarim Kudaiberdiev in honor of his 160th birthday, and also to provide information about the academic mobility of students.

From November 1 to November 15, 2018, the polylingual center of the Philological faculty of the Kostanay state pedagogical university has held an online Essay Competition "Tugan zher" in the framework of the implementation of the program "Ruhani Zhangyru". The competitive works were accepted in three languages. The main goals and objectives of the competition were: the formation of students' respectful attitude towards their small Motherland, the nurturing of patriotic feelings, and the development of linguistic consciousness, based on mastering state, native and foreign languages.
"200th anniversary of the birth of Russian writer and poet, singer of love and Russian nature Ivan Sergeevich Turgenev was marked on 9st November» The evening under the name "Two hundred years have passed ..." was began with those words in the library named after L.N. Tolstoy on 14st November 14. The 1st year students of the educational program Russian Language and Literature were invited. The participants had a spontaneous conversation about many things that could not be finding in school textbooks: about the features of Turgenev’s works, but also about an individual and citizen, about the depths of his works.
November 9, 2018 3-year students of the specialty 5B011200 - “Chemistry” at the Department of Natural Sciences of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences held a meeting with the writer, poet, candidate of philology, professor Serikbay Ospanov on the topic “Altynsarin әlemі” in the framework of the program “Ruhani Zhangyru”. During the meeting, the students were active in their creative plan: a 2-year student of chemistry specialty Aysina Aidana sang the song “Sagyndym Almatymdy”, as well as 2 and 3 year students of the same specialty Zhamalbek Ansagan, Zhunaeva Maftuna and Kapezova Ayakоz, read the poems of our main guest - writer akyn S.Ospanov.
Teachers of the Department of Russian Language and Literature of Kostanay State Pedagogical University Pchelkina T.R. and Isina D.A. were members of the jury of the regional stage of the republican competition «Competition of research projects and creative works «Zerde» for grades 1-7». On 9th November the competition was held with a view to developing the skills to research activities and to stimulate the intellectual and creative potential of younger and middle-aged pupils.
On November 2, 2018, the military unit 6697 of the regional command of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Ortalyk” held a round table with the faculty and students of the Faculty of Philology “Modernization of students' moral values”. The meeting discussed the Message of the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev to the people: "The main criterion for evaluating the success of a university is the employment of graduates after graduation, their employment in highly paid jobs." An impressive discussion of the facts and events of purposeful work carried out to ensure the security of the country was held during the round table.
