On February 16, 2017 on the basis of the KSPI together with branch of Nur Otan party of the Kostanay region the city debate tournament among higher educational institutions devoted to the message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev " The third modernization of Kazakhstan: global competitiveness". 28 teams of the Kazakh league and 16 teams of the Russian league have participated in a tournament. Following the results of a tournament in the Kazakh league 1 place was taken by team "Акеланың соңғы шайқасы " Akanbayev Baghlan, Zhakupova Ayzhan, the 2nd place – "Favourite" Zhumakenov Nurislam, Amanbayev Mukhan, the 3rd place – " Ратбек үшін " Orynbayev Abzal, Kayyrgali Nurymzhan.
On February 9, 2017 in the gym of the KSPI the sporting event "Cheerful start" among students devoted to the Youth Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been held. Fostering patriotism, strengthening of health, education of the correct relation to a healthy lifestyle was the purpose of this action. In this action students competed by 4 types of a competition: transfer of a subject, a competition of captains, a jump rope under legs whose jump is farther. Following the results of a competition of all competitions, first place was won by faculty of physical culture of sport and tourism, the second place – naturally mathematical faculty, the third place – faculty of history and arts.
On January 26, 2017 in the city-center of Kostanay there was a regional relay race of the 28th World Winter Universiade 2017, which will be held from January 29 to February 8 in Almaty. Universiade - the international sports competitions among students, conducted by the International Federation of University Sports (FISU). Every two years, summer and winter Universiades are held. The history of student sports began in 1905, when the first international competitions among students were held in the USA. In 1919, Jean Ptizhan created the Confederation of Students. Under the auspices of this organization in 1923, the first World University Games in Paris took place.
In the period from 9 to 13 January 2017, the Games among the teaching staff and staff of KSPI, dedicated to the 28th Winter World Universiade, took place. The number of participants by sport: Darts - 82, Togyz Kumalak - 14, Checkers - 22, Chess - 16, Table tennis - 21, Volleyball - 42, Mini football - 35, Asyatu - 65. According the results of competitions in these sports, the victory was won by the team of FPhCST , the second place was taken by the team of the NMF, the third place - the team of the Administration. The final stage of the competition - skiing, will be held in February - March 2017.
On November 10, 2016 in Kostanay state pedagogical institute the seminar-training on "Destructive religious movements: danger, forms and methods of recruitment" was taken place. Representatives of civil affairs of religion management conducted explanatory work with students, informed about the traditional and non-traditional religious movements. They explained forms and methods of recruitment, spoke about the ways of warning themselves and their loved ones from the dangers of non-traditional religious movements.
On October 27 the event dedicated to the International Family Day among married students of the institute under the auspices of "Mereylі Otbasy" was held in Kostanai State Pedagogical Institute. The competition was attended by two couples of the institute: Zhaksylykova Gulnur - the 4th year student of the Faculty of History and Arts of the specialty "Music education" and Olzhabaev Erkebulan, Kuzina Mariya - the 1st year student of psycho-pedagogical faculty, specialty "Defectology" and her husband - Kuzin Dmitry Petrovich.
On October 21, 2016 KVN for the rector's cup was taken place in the assembly hall of Kostanay state pedagogical institute. The new season began with the festival and 1/8 of the final game. There were 8 teams from higher and secondary special educational institutions of our region. Each team showed its skills in the competition "Acquaintance" on the theme "Bet up, eagle of freedom ". The game was held at a high level.
On September 29, 2016 the auditorium of Kostanay state pedagogical institute was the place a for festive event dedicated to the Teacher's Day - one of the most popular and respected social professions. World Teachers' Day is celebrated in more than 100 countries around the world since 1994. This day marked the role and contribution of teachers, teachers for their invaluable contributions to the education and training of young people.
On September 26, 2016, the regional competition of flash mobs was held in the city of Kostanay center, organized by the Department of the Ministry of Civil Service Affairs of Republic of Kazakhstan in Kostanay region together with the Education Department, Office of youth policy and the Akimat of Kostanay under the auspices of " My choice is public service" aimed to improve the public service image.
On September 16, 2016 Kostanay state pedagogical institute had the event dedicated to "Health Day" and conducted sports activities among students and lecturers of the institute. There were nine types of sports: volleyball, mini football, asyk atu, relay race, weight-lifting, darts, tug of war, arm wrestling, long jump.
