The Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan adopted the law "Holidays of Kazakhstan", adding the day of the First President of Kazakhstan to the list of already existing holidays. This holiday is celebrated on the 1st of December. The students of the specialty "Basics of law and economics" of the faculty of history and arts had organized and conducted the event dedicated to the Day of the First President. The intellectual game was held among students of 1 courses of specialty "History", "Fine arts and drawing", "Basics of law and economics", " Musical education". Questions were aimed at key events associated with the President Nazarbayev N.A., and the history of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Creativity, erudition, adroitness, cooperation, positive were the main features of the game.

On November, 13, 2016, 3rd year students of specialty "Basics of Law and Economics" of faculty of history and arts of Kostanay state pedagogical institute, including Murzagaliev Ruslan, Tulubaeva Elmira, Danielova Aigerim and lecturers of the department of social sciences, basics of law and economics, candidate of historical science, associate professor Yarochkina E. V., candidate of economical science, associate professor Nurmagambetova L. I. had visited the lecture " History of independence - reflection of the spirit of the Nation" and the "Mangilik El is the spiritual basis of the Nation", which were held in Kostanay regional House of friendship in the framework of the Republican action " Train "Tauelsizdik Kazakhstan", devoted to 25-anniversary of independence of Kazakhstan.
The department of social sciences, basics of law and economics, together with the faculty of additional education had organized and conducted training courses of teachers of schools, colleges, high schools of the region in the period from October 31 to November 12, 2016. On October 21 at the Kostanay state pedagogical institute, there were the ceremonial opening and the presentation of APK department, devoted to the 25 anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Within the presentation the opening ceremony of department and a round table discussion «Scientific-educational and upbringing role of APK department in social and political processes of the country», Samarkin Sergey Vladimirovich, the dean of the faculty of Additional education, the candidate of historical sciences, appeared as a moderator of the presentation.
On September, 27, 2016 students of the specialty "Basics of law and economics" took part in the intellectual game "Brain ring". The event was attended by students of higher educational institutions (CSU, KSTU, KSPI) and students of the gymnasium named after M.Gorkuy.
