On December 25, 2018, a methodical seminar was held at the Department of Natural Sciences on the implementation in professional practice of ideas obtained as a result of mastering the advanced training educational program "Modern Pedagogical Technologies in Higher Educational Institutions as part of Updated Educational Content". The seminar was moderated by the senior teacher Kurlov S.I., the senior teacher, the master of biology M.A. Bobrenko, the senior teacher, the master of biology M. M. Rulyova.
On December 20, 2018, the faculty of the KSPU took part in the work of the methodical seminar in the framework of the programs recommended by the Center for pedagogical skills of the «Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools». The aim of the seminar was to improve the pedagogical skills of the teaching staff in the context of updating the content of secondary education and the introduction of the criteria-based assessment system. During the workshop, pedagogical approaches and training materials that meet the updated curricula were recommended for use.
On December 14, 2018 at 13:30, an event dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at the Faculty of Natural Mathematics. The purpose of the event - the celebration of Independence Day, the development of patriotic feelings among students. The event was organized by the interesting content of the program, where students read poems about our homeland, presented videos about the modern achievements of our state. Two-year students of the specialty “Biology”, Hamit Bota played the dombra kui “Balbyrauyn”, Sirivlya Diana performed a Kazakh dance.
At the Department of Natural Sciences they took with great responsibility the assignment of Kostanay State Pedagogical University the name of our outstanding countryman Umirzak Makhmutovich Sultangazin. A number of events were held that allowed students and teachers to learn more about the biography of the scientist. On 30th of November, was a curatorial hour held for students of the specialty "Chemistry" on the theme "The Seven Facets of the Great Steppe" under a new article by the Leader of the Nation N.Nazarbayev. The great interest of students of our specialty was caused by the fact that our land is the place where many objects of material culture come from. There was a lively conversation about the history of Kazakhstan, the role of the people and the great discoveries that the Kazakh steppe presented to humanity.
11.29.18, at the Department of Natural Sciences of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in the framework of the discussion of a program article by N.А. Nazarbayev's “Seven Facets of the Great Steppe” was held curatorial hours with the participation of students of 1-3 courses of specialties “Geography” and “Biology”. The purpose of these supervisory hours was to introduce students to the national history and civilization of the Great Steppe, the genesis of the Turkic world, the contribution of the Turks in the history of mankind, a reflection of the specific ways to implement them.
The interdisciplinary joint project "Innovations for sustainable use of agricultural resources and climate-adaption in the arid steppes of Kazakhstan and southwest Siberia (ReKKS)”, in which our Kostanay State Pedagogical University participates (Faculty of Natural Mathematics, Department of Natural Sciences), is part of the BMBF-Funding Measure "CLIENT II – international partnerships for sustainable innovations". The aims are to improve the knowledge and develop practical approaches and adaptation strategies for ecologically friendly and economically profitable agriculture in arid steppe regions.
With the arrival of cold weather for birds comes a difficult time, and a large number of birds die in this period, not even from low temperatures, but from hunger. Every year, the student club «Birdwatchers» created on the basis of the research center of problems of biology and ecology of the KSPU of the Department of natural Sciences and mathematics faculty held the action "Feed birds in winter". On November 23, 2018 within the framework of the action and strategy of active interaction with Specially protected natural areas of our region for active members of the club «Birdwatchers» and 1st year students of the specialty «Biology» was organized a meeting with the leadership of the club.
