From June 2 to June 4, 2016 candidate of philological sciences, associate professor Ismagulova G. K. held a seminar on the topic «The Professional Oriented Foreign Language» within the educational project of Goethe Institute and DAAD Kazakhstan on the basis of ENU named L. Gumilev. The seminar was organized for teachers of higher education institutions of the northern region of Kazakhstan. Key questions of a seminar were the role and the Curriculum functions (educational program), practical offers on its use, and also work with the applications developed by authors of this document.
The seminar organized by Embassy of France in Kazakhstan and the French-Kazakh center of Kostanay has taken place in the French center on the basis of KSPI from May 23 to May 24, 2016. The topic of the seminar is: "Estimation of competences of educational process and teaching francophonie". The participants of the seminar were students of KSPI and teachers of French of Kostanay and the region. At this seminar was a director of the French alliance at Almaty Pascale Vitorge. Classes were given by: associate professor Fati Daven and teacher of department of estimation and certification of CIEP Rozelin Marty. Also Danielle Raychvarg, professor from the Burgundian University, have presented Theatrical studio.
From May 19 to May 21, 2016 on the basis of KSPI has been held the regional seminar on professional development of teachers of German together with Goethe Institute Kazakhstan on the subject "Professional Focused German in Higher Education Institutions of Kazakhstan". Ismagulova G., Cand.Phil.Sci., the associate professor of foreign languages (Kostanay) and Medvedeva S., the senior teacher of German (Petropavlovsk) were moderators of this seminar. Also has been invited the head of language department Goethe Institute of Almaty Constanze Krueger.
The international webinar within the project on cooperation between Shadrinsk State Pedagogical University and the Kostanay State Pedagogical Institute was organized on May, 17th, 2016 under the title "Innovative trends in teaching foreign languages at comprehensive school".
On April, 29 2016 a large-scale event "Open Day" was held at our institute, where our future students and their parents were invited. Each faculty presented their presentations on their areas and specialties, teachers made their speeches. Students of KSPI showed music and dance numbers. At the end of the main part of the event each department invited their future students and their parents to the faculties. This year, the Faculty of Foreign Languages met guests at the French cultural center.
24-29 April 2016 the world championship in bench press took place in Rodby, Denmark among men and women and athletes of all other age categories. 1st year student of FFL Alevtina Nikolaeva won the first place in the category up to 84 kg with a score of 100 kg and became the winner of the second regular title of World Champion! We congratulate our talented athlete on a new convincing victory and wish her to be successful in both academics and sports!
22 April 2016 a competition of student research projects was held, which was attended by 4th year students of FFL Bedenko, D., E. Mushtakova, A. Utenova, Otebay U., M. Kazbekova under the leadership of senior teacher of foreign languages Department, Ph. D. Danilova V. V. the Theme of the project: "Formation of ICT-competence of future teacher of a foreign language through the development of an electronic portfolio based on the level of program NIS "7 modules".
22 April 2016 – this day was decisive in the struggle for the Cup of rector in the interfaculty League of KVN! The desire to obtain the coveted Cup was manifested in everything - from business cards to contest hometask, which was attended by eminent Members of Kostanay region. The team of FFL, under the leadership of captain Damir Elemesov, performed brilliantly, the room literally roared with strong positive emotions, such as those shared by our Members
April 22 the first qualifying round for participation in the program of academic mobility at universities in France and Hungary was held. A lot of students tried their luck, including the students of the faculty of foreign languages. There were about forty applications for participation in this program. The Department of foreign languages prepared placement tests, the results of which identified leaders who will be able to undergo further tasks to identify the level of the English language skills to participate in the program. 20 April 2016 at the faculty of foreign languages an open Day was held. Senior teachers of the Department of foreign languages Ungutbaeva G. S. and A. S. Kinzhibaeva presented their colorful presentation and told about the study and life at the FFL, about the program of academic mobility at universities of Europe and Kazakhstan; about the possibility to continue training in foreign universities and about the opportunity to become a highly qualified specialist in the field of teaching foreign languages. After presentations and discussions, the event continued with a tour of the educational and methodical office and FCC.
