In order to popularize the teaching profession among the students, increase interest in teaching activities, identify and support talented students motivated to initially become a teacher, an essay contest "Teacher: Touching the Profession" among students of the Kostanay State Pedagogical Institute was held. The contest was organized by the I.Altynsarin center at the Department of Pedagogy of KSPI. The competition was aimed at the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Education", the state program for the development of education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2016-2019, the program "Тұғанжер", the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.Nazarbayev to the people of Kazakhstan "New development opportunities in the conditions of the fourth industrial revolution".
Students of Natural and mathematical faculty, KGPI of specialty "Biology", "Geography" have participated on March 13, 2018 in the III International scientific and practical conference of students and young scientists "Methodology, the theory and practice of modern biology", organized department of biology and chemistry of Agrarian and biological faculty of the Kostanay state university of A. Baytursynov. More than 140 representatives of HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS and the research organizations from the cities of Kazakhstan, the FSU and beyond have taken part in work of a conference.
On March 11, VΙΙ winter Universiade among higher education institutions was completed. The Universiade lasted 10 days, 36 teams from the universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in it in nine sports. The team of the Kostanay State Pedagogical Institute was represented by athletes in cross-country skiing, presidential all-around, winter sports orienteering, kettlebell lifting, powerlifting, futsal, and wrestling kazak kuresi. On the last day of the Universiade, powerlifting competitions were held.

On March 12, 2018 in the universal reading room the presentation of the book of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev era independence" is held. March 6-9, 2018 in the city of Sasovo, Russian Federation, hosted the open world junior championships in winter triathlon (polyatlon). In this competition the first-year students of the specialty "Physical Culture and Sport" took part. Levin Evgeny and second-year student of the specialty "Physical Culture and Sports" Makushenko Vyacheslav. On March 1, 2018, the VII Winter Universiade started among the higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Pavlodar. On the first day of spring, the opening ceremony of the games took place, which gathered about 2,000 young athletes. From the Kostanay State Pedagogical Institute there are teams of seven declared sports. In the program of the Winter Universiade there are 9 kinds of sports: ski races, winter presidential all-around, winter sports orienteering, futsal, arm-wrestling, weight-lifting, powerlifting, basketball, қазақ күресі.
The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev on 5 March 2018, speaking at joint session of chambers of Parliament, appealed to the people of Kazakhstan on new social initiatives. Teachers of the Department of psychology and defectology, discussing scale social projects of the President, have noted the importance of new social initiatives which have been directed on the further improvement of well-being of everyone Kazakhstan citizen. Special interest was caused the third initiative: "Increase of availability and quality of higher education and improvement of conditions of residing of student's youth".
On March 6, 2018 in the assembly hall of the Kostanay state teacher training college the festive action "About what has taken place men sing...", devoted to the International Women's Day on March 8 where only men of institute took part it is teachers, employees and students. At the beginning of the concert there have shown to the audience a video congratulation of men's collective. The gala concert was opened verses on women, under a live melody of a piano which has preceded words congratulations of the poet, Candidate of Philology, associate professor Serikbay Ospanov.
